I begin this shared journey at 21 days in

I began three weeks ago at 180 pounds. My weight four weeks ago was 182 and my all time highest.  It’s not about the weight, it’s about healing but I know a side benefit will be losing some unhealthy fat.  This morning 21 days in I’m 170 pounds.  My sores are still there, and still very itchy.  Last night they woke me at 3:30 a.m. or should I say this morning? I took a shower and wrote in my insomnia journal.  I also like to look at interrupted sleep as an opportunity to pray for my friends and family and sometimes certain people just come to mind.  I feel like its special time between me and God so although I wake and I’m not too rested I’m okay with it.  I read the last two chapters of Psalms which went right along with my praise for God on this morning. It was about how amazing He is and how He so worthy to be praised.  I knew at this moment God is so much bigger than my sore legs, He can heal them and if I take care of my body and respect the temple he has given me.  A wise friend of mine,  Lisa told me it was teaching my kids that we can do hard things and I have carried that little phrase with me for all these days, it keeps me strong.  This picture in this post is my quinoa salad from last night, I made the quinoa per instructions, chopped up onions, celery, cilantro, tomatoes and radishes and used olive oil, lemon and sea salt and pepper for the seasoning.  It tasted very good, Rich even liked it.

I figure I should show you what my legs look like.  Hope your not eating when you take a look.  They are not very scrumptious.  These sores start at my hips and go down.
